Our internal audit team is responsible for partnering with our entire TDS family of companies to assist with and lead challenging and complex enterprise-wide operational and financial audit projects. While conducting your project work you will gain exposure to various business and industry-specific processes, while interacting with and impacting all levels of management.
In addition, our auditors also lead and participate in a variety of other critical tasks and initiatives, special assurance reviews, system implementation consulting, and department process improvement efforts.

Location and Travel
This position will be located at our TDS Telecom headquarters in Madison, WI. The ability to travel approximately 10% of the time is required.

Qualifications:
Required
• A bachelors degree, preferably in accounting, finance or business administration
• One or more years of operational or financial audit experience, preferably in a corporate internal audit environment
Preferred
• Experience building and designing new audit programs and conducting testing for previously unaudited processes
• Working knowledge of audit data analysis tools (e.g. ACL, IDEA, etc.)
• Experience performing compliance/SOX-based audits
• A CPA, CIA, CISA or post-graduate degree (or actively working towards one)
• Prior experience in public accounting
• Strong working knowledge of business processes
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Sufficient risk and control knowledge and business acumen to help business partners recognize the need to make changes
• Experience performing independent reviews to improve the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes
• General knowledge and demonstrated application of internal audit concepts, standards and methodologies
• Motivated and proactive mindset, demonstrates critical thinking skills and has the desire to understand the business
